Since the centre was opened in 2003, Sofa Wise now has the financial backing of Wellingborough Homes, and Northants PCT.
Our first 2 years received funding from Shanks First, Scott Bader and Wellingborough Borough Council. Wellingborough Borough Council and Northants County Council continued to support us until recently when funding cuts resulted in their financial support being withdrawn. In April 2008 Wellingborough Homes took over from the Borough Council and PCT ( NHS Northamptonshire) granted us with further funding. January 2008 saw a one year grant to us from Lloyds TSB. We are grateful to all these organisations for their funding and support.

- Registered 3196 Customers.
- Avoided in excess of 524 tonnes going into landfill.
- Sold in excess of 24,000 items.
Revenues generated are put straight back into the scheme to ensure it's longevity. Sofa Wise plays a vital role in the Wellingborough, East Northants community. Both saving uneccessary landfill and supplying affordable furniture to those who need it most. Sofawise also provides a great platform to volunteers looking to get back into a working environment with support from the team and management.
